SHADOWPLAY
If Rock Beats Scissors introduced the group’s alt-rock grit, Shadowplay perfected its darker, heavier undercurrent. Pushing the group’s sound to new extremes, Shadowplay features heavy metal covers like Metallica's "The Memory Remains" and Trapt’s “Headstrong” right alongside haunting atmosphere (“Labyrinth”) and Europop (“All The Things She Said”). This release represents the culmination of the group's "industrial" era sound, cementing a legacy of complex, wall-of-sound production that would serve as the base for the polished pop-rock evolution seen in our later albums.
